So a few years ago I was looking for something similar, but different. Things like espionage, diplomacy, politics, economy and so on are fairly shallow, even if the tactical side is always good. I was a long time Total War player, and while I still love those games, the campaign side of the game left me wanting more. The depth and complexity are exceptional, but for me it remains highly intuitive and accessible. It's not the sort of game that everyone will like of course, but if you're in to these sorts of games it's a good one. It's easily my favorite grand strategy title (almost 2500 hours) and I'm wondering if any members here play?
